5 REASONS TO WATCH NIGHT OF THE LIVING DEAD 3D (2006)
They watch Night of the Living Dead in Night of the Living Dead.
2. 3D EFFECTS
3D effects are quite amusing when you're not watching the 3D version. There are your basic "let's point something at the screen" moments such as the guy guy punching a zombie while riding a motorcycle, but there are also several fu(ll)(nn)y digital effects too. I wasn't able to watch the 3D version as either the glasses I got with the DVD were faulty or my eyes are shit.
I wonder if this was also supposed to be a 3D effect:
3. NAKED LADY IN TROUBLE
There is a topless woman running through a horde of zombies. I think that's enough said.
To make things fair and equal, there is also a naked fat man eating a priest, although when we finally fully see him, it appears he is wearing some small piece of cloth to cover his junk - which I oddly found myself being genuinely disappointed about.
4. SURPRISED ZOMBIE
A zombie gets his hand on fire and is apparently shocked about it.
5. META 2
Halloween 3 had people watching Halloween 1.
Silent Night Deadly Night 2 had people watching Silent Night Deadly Night 1.
It's not unusual to have these kinds of meta things in movies.
However, NOTLD3D takes it to the next level! The end credits has the famous black&white shot of the road seen in the opening scene of the original Night of the Living Dead. At the end of the credits, a still shot of a zombie appears and it gets closer and closer to the camera. Suddenly the main character of the movie walks in the frame, looks around and is puzzled about the situation for a couple of seconds. Then the movie ends.
M. Night Shyamalan has found his winner.
Considering the controversy there has been about Somalian immigrants in Finland, it's very amusing to see that this version of the DVD has the Finnish (Suomi) subtitle language listed as Somali. I like to think that was not an accident but someone trolling hard :)
